Highway code - Seatbelt Requirements - Theory test

Seat belt must be used for yours and others’ safety Please click here to read seat belt law.

  • Driver must wear seatbelt and it is driver’s responsibility.  

  • Child under age of 3 year must wear appropriate child restraint must be worn at front seat and must be worn at rear seat if it available plus it is driver’s responsibility.

  • Child age of 3 year to 11 year and in height about 5 feet must wear appropriate child restraint if it available otherwise need to wear adult seat belt must be worn at front seat. At rear seat must wear appropriate child restraint if it available otherwise need to wear adult seat belt if it available and also it is driver’s responsibility to worn.

  • Child age of 12 year or 13 year and in height about 5 feet or more must wear adult seat belt if it available at front and rear seat and must be worn by driver.

  • Passenger over the age of 14 must wear adult seat belt if it available at front and rear seat and it is passenger’s responsibility.
