New Model of Nissan : 2011 Nissan Maxima 3.5 SV: luxury & power

According to SIESTA KEY, Fla. (MarketWatch) — with its relaxing seats, pleasant air conditioning and excellent power, Nissan’s top-of-the-line Maxima was a best way to get lost in a new part of Florida.

It was stylish sufficient to be shown in the Sarasota-area neighborhoods where the gated entrances outnumbered the non-gated ones, or parked beside trendy Siesta Beach for a look at the stunning light show that Mother Nature staged every sunset.

With its 3.5 liter double overhead cam, V-6 that produces 290 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 262 pound-feet of torque at 4,400 rpm plus a CVT transmission, the Maxima quickly got up to speed coming off an access ramp onto Florida’s 70 mph interstates. And the heated (in Florida)beautiful leather seats were ready for the driver and passenger to use a long time on those high-speed motorway.

The consequence to such a trip was steady road noise not in keeping with the price tag on the car, and a stiffer ride than some may expect comes as part of the $2,080 “Sport Package.” The ride was stiffer than the base model, but hardly was it the “4-door Sports Car” Nissan NSANY -0.44% calls it.
