The meaning of independent driving.
The meaning of independent driving intends to test the ability of driver on base of road sign. Independent driving test can take about 10 minutes. You have to drive your car without any help from examiner. You have to follow road sign at all the time until your examiner gives you further instruction.
While practical driving test you'll be told to drive on your own without single assist from the assessor. The examiner will request you to park the car and then will give you up to three instructions to follow such as "Take the next right, 2ndtake third exit from roundabout, then 3rd left". They could instead just instruct you to drive to the nearby bus station. You do not require knowing the region, reading maps or using a sat nav. Any positions you're told to drive to will be signed. This has been considered with dyslexia and other conditions in mind do don't worry if you have to ask for more help.
A different method it will be finished is a combination of direction and instructions such as "get the 4th right, 5th left and then follow road signs to railway station". For a few of these instructions you'll be given a very basic illustration such as shown below to assist recognise the outline of the roads you'll come across. The inspector can mark down the destination name so you be familiar with how it's spelt on signs, if you would like them to do this then immediately request.
